I really like the Rosewill 5.1 vibrating headset, since I find it very immersive in games like skyrim when dragons are roaring and explosions are going off, the kinetic effect of bass rumble really adds to the experience.

I have the Logitech G930 and I find them pretty good.
The positional sound doesn't work well for me, but I think that is on a person by person basis.
I also find them a little heavy.

The G35 is the wired version of this headset, otherwise exactly the same.
The G430 is a cheaper version of the G35. They have removed the programmable buttons (which I have never used on the G930) and moved the audio controls from the ear piece to the cord.
The reviews for these look pretty good.

I have previously looked at the Corsair Vengeance 1500 as a good alternative to the Logitech G35.
How did you find this headset?
Are you looking at the Logitech G430 because you were not happy with your old headset, or is the G430 is cheaper?

because its cheaper
i was quite happy with my old headset
just can't afford the 1500 again.

The Rosewill unit above gets good reviews. I'm not sure I'm keen on the idea of a vibrating headset, but I haven't tried them.

These are quite different. The Corsair Vengeance 1500 and Logitech G430 both have a single large driver and virtual surround sound.
The Rosewill headset uses a number of smaller drivers for surround sound.
Razer makes headsets of both types, the Tiamat 7.1 has individual drivers and the Kraken 7.1 has a single driver with virtual surround. These are out of your price range I think, but the fact they make both shows neither one is necessarily "better".

psychodegu, how do you find the positional sound with the Rosewill headset?

Nice thing about the rosewill is if the vibration gives you a headache (which can happen over extended use) you can turn it off. I would say the positional are good, but they could be better id say like a 8/10 for the positioning. Sound replication and loudness are better and at the price for a budget Headset I still think they are great.
