I am planning on buying the lenovo y510p laptop and I am trying to decide on the best case for it. At first I thought about going with the PELICAN 1495 CC#1 Deluxe Computer Case, because I wanted something that would really protect my laptop. However, the only thing negative I've heard is that it can be heavy and I didn't like that. The other case I looked into is the Targus Checkpoint-Friendly Corporate Traveler Case. This one seems to be a bit lighter and easier for travel. So here is my problem and why I need your help, I am handicapped and have balance issues. I am worried about carrying my laptop and dropping it, because I tend to fall easier than other people. It is for this reason that I thought about Pelican, however I'm not a big guy, only 5'3. So I really don't need something weighing me down. Which is why I thought about Targus, but I am worried that if I fell with that bag, it wouldn't be strong enough to withstand the impact of me falling and would damage my computer somehow. I don't travel a lot, only back and fourth to Pennsylvania every now and then. So that is another reason I felt the Pelican would be to much. But I'm undecided, so I figured I would ask for your help.

The lighter you go, unless you will be paying a lot for tech, the worse protection you will get. The Pelican models are hard plastic which will be a lot sturdier than the vinyl or even leather of other bags, especially if you are worried you will fall on top of the thing.

There is also Zero Haliburton which is a pretty high end case/luggage maker that makes well known rugged cases. http://zerohalliburton.com/

http://zerohalliburton.com/products/collections/polycarbonate-attaches/4-polycarbonate-computer-attache.html <-- this looks to be a few pounds lighter than the Pelican model and is a bit close to the price.

If you were a spy and had to carry a nuclear warhead in a bag, it will probably be a Zero H bag hehe.
