what asus model is the best version for i7-4820k or 4770k

Solution
You mean TUF or ROG? Rog is Republic of Gamers, boards geared towards gamers and overclockers/enthusiast. TUF is in the Sabertooth line of boards and normally means it has higher quality components.

Both are better than the standard boards as both tend to have higher quality components compared to a standard Asus board.

For example, my board which is the Maximus VI Formula has Blackwing Chokes, 90% efficient NexFET MoSFETs and 10K Black Metallic capacitors that are not on standard boards.

As for which one for which CPU, it depends on what you plan on doing. The i7 4820K is a LGA 2011 CPU with quad channel RAM and dual 16x PCIe 3.0 lanes. It is normally geared towards workstations and the more elitist of enthusiasts who want the best...

The i7 4770K is a LGA 1150 CPU with dual channel RAM and single x16 PCIe 3.0 or dual X8 PCIe 3.0 and is geared towards mainstream enthusiasts and most gamers. In reality, the i7 4770K (Haswell )has newer technology behind it compared to the i7 4820 (Ivy Bridge-E) and unless you plan to do memory intensive applications or video editing, the i7 4770K would be the better choice and for that I prefer the ROG boards but the TUF boards are just as good. It's just that they are brown which is bleh.
