Why so many bad reviews?

Motherboards are probably the most complex piece of your computer. Always remember that people are MUCH more likely to write a review if they have a bad experience with a product rather than a good experience. Go with a reliable brand and you should be good.
User reviews can be hit and miss.
Try to find reviews on a hardware review site if you can.
Motherboards can be a bit fragile. They certainly fail more often than CPUs.
Using a good power supply and a good surge protected power board can help.

It often that the people don't know what they are doing, see them all the time where someone rates their tech level as High, and complain the DRAM won't run at the proper speed (yet, if they enable XMP, it's fine), or if they even load the drivers for the mobo they use the disk that comes with the mobo and theose drivers (about 9 times out of ten are out of date before they even get the mob, same with the BIOS, they don't check and make sure they have the latest version, then there's those that believe the myth that the mobo determines how fast of DRAM you can use, which is a few years out of date,could go on and on....it's really not a big deal to build a system my kids were single digit midgets when they started building (5 and 7) and they continue to this day (about 20 years later).....if you run into problems, there are plenty here that will help and feel free to PM me
