low memory message in windows 7

Hi so i have a problem with the low memory message popping up whenever i use an application such as Cinema 4d or photoshop and it suddenly closing whatever application that is "taking up memory." What can i do to stop these messages and the sudden crashes. my laptop has 4gb Ram. Thank you so much!

Upgrade the memory in the laptop to 8GB if you need to be using such heavier end programs would be the off the cuff answer, but it could be your running out of 'memory' for the Graphics too which means well, you need a heavier duty Laptop instead. Lastly if your running several programs it is easy to eat up the RAM quickly especially with Video/Picture editors.

the basics:
If you have Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) that is garbage and you need to uninstall it first
go to www.filehippo.com and download / install AVAST! or AVG and have them to a FULL SCAN of your computer.
downloaded and run MALWAREBYTES to run a full scan and clean the PC this is different then Viruses.
Download Slim Driver and make sure all drivers are up to date.
Download SPECCY and post the first tab here, so we have a idea of what hardware we are talking about your trying to use.
