Good pc gaming build?

Basically im a console gamer and im sick of the shit games they come out with constantly. I dont know much about PC gaming so im here for advice.

I have a 300 dollar gift card for office depot so ill probably get my monitor there.

I see on the site im using it says SSD, and HDD i dont know really what these are im not really familiar with computer parts or anything, Do i need them at all?

My friend told me just to use this site.

I dont mind building one just need a push in the right path because i dont know what parts i would need.
I just wanna be able to run Dayz without any problems at all.
Basically saying i could get the same quality of the other build but for a lower price? if i build it myself?

OP HOLD IT. Okay as your completely 'lost' (some say clueless) about PCs, I would listen to your friend to just buy a 'premade' and be done with it. The problem with 'building a PC' is you can easily fry a part with a simple brush of your hair or rub against the carpet, and you have to pay out of pocket all over again for the broken part (which takes a LONG time to figure out WHAT part is broken). Further you ARE ON YOUR OWN, you have to know how to connect, plug in, etc. every single part and know how to manage it, there isn't any helping hand when your actually doing (unless your friend can do it for / with you if he/she is familiar enough with them).

ALSO WORD OF WARNING: PC require ALOT of CONSTANT (weekly) maintenance to keep them from just suddenly 'dying'. It is NOT like a console, insert DVD, turn on, play. You have to do updates, patches, fix incompatibility issues, research why in Game A your sound doesn't work but works in every other game perfectly fine, deal with malware AND viruses, and so on. When you wade into this pool, you are weighed down with cement boots in the middle of the ocean, just to warn you.

My friend builds PC's so I would probably get him to help me out on this.

Also I was looking at the other guys build it basically comes to the same price as the one i posted.
Because of deals and stuff will run out by the time I have the money for it because I'm currently saving as we speak.

I'm pretty good when it comes to on the computer just not building one, Do you have any recommendations on a pc to buy already built preferably around 1500 dollars tops.

I personally haven't looked in a while, and wouldn't be till next year or so if I ever get employed again (market sucks!). But I was keeping a eye on some of the prebuilts like iBuypower in the Gamer/Builder PC mags in the store. I would recommend one of them that to peruse through. Also use SlickDeals or FatWallet, as there are deals out there to be had, especially as sometimes store do 'sell offs', even Walmart sells some Gamer PCs I was surprised to see on Walmart.com.

I recently bought a PC from cyberpowerpc specifically to be able to handle BF4 on Ultra Settings..

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 Ti
250GB Samsung 840 EVO SSD

Been using it for about a week now and it plays great! Cost is approx. 1400
