Hi, i'm looking to purchase a graphics card.But seems like my system specs are way too limited.Please

help me what all hardware changes should i make for achieving a top gaming system that enables
me to play games like assassins creed,battlefield,fifa 14 etc very smoothly.

My current system specs

Processor:Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.80GHz

Memory:512 MB DDR

Mainboard->Chipset:i845G

I dont think my Mobo has a PCIe slot.How can i confirm that?

Please provide a low-level,mid-level and high end level changes inorder to suit my needs?

You computer wont be able to handle a GPU to play those games.
You'll have to buy or build a new one.

Just about everything. All GPUs are PCI-E now

You will need a new mobo, CPU at the least. Good chance you would need new RAM and PSU as well

Step
1) TOSS IN TRASH - NOTHING here can assist you in your achievement.
2) a 'Top Gaming System' for PCs means around $1000-$1500 normally. A decent gaming rig for 2013 titles 'very smoothly' can be done but your still sitting around $700-1000 normally (since you are starting from scratch with 'nothing salvageable', you should expect the HIGHER cost).
3) plenty of Ibuypower systems (even sold through Walmart.com) if your unfamiliar with being ON YOUR OWN to build a computer from scratch. If your sort of familiar with parts, then maybe you could grab this $599 Haswell i7 http://slickdeals.net/f/6657778-lenovo-h530-desktop-pc-..., buy a PSU 600W for $90, then spend $149-$499 for the GPU and you be rocking. If your really into building, you can piece together a system through PC Parts Picker.
