Best Upgrade from q6600

I have a stock q6600, and am wondering about which cpu is best to ugrade to. I have bought the RAM and Motherboard (G.skill 8gb dual kit ) and (Gigabyte G1 Sniper B5). It is a socket 1150. My gpu is a gtx 650Ti

The best upgrade is the I7-4770k but what is ur budget ?
And if u need it only for gaming you dont need more then a I5

I'd say $300 AUD. An i7 would be better as it will come in handy when games use 8 threads wouldn't it?

If you have that budget you can take him, but for now in games is useless you will have the same perfomance with an I5-4670. I dont think in 2 years from now games gonna use so many threads, but as i said if you have the money take.
Also if you dont plan to OC the CPU take the non-K version like mine.

Would a bottleneck be noticeable with the i7? I know the pain of a gpu holding back a cpu (had a 610 with my current cpu, and it was not pleasant.)
