Ok, so I know the max temp for the cards are 100c but I like to keep my cards cool as I dont have a lot of money replace them.

The issue that I'm runnning into is that I have two GTX 560 Ti's SLI together, and good air flow through the case. My top card gets as hot as 80c and the bottom wont break 70c. I have both my monitors plugged into the bottom card. Any ideas as to why this is happening and/or should I even be worried?

Thanks

It is likely that there is just little airflow onto the cards, the heat from the bottom one will raise the temperature of the top one, as its fan intake is close-by. I had the same situation with 660s and managed to getting the top one from ~80C to running at ~73C by having a fan blowing directly onto them.

80C is nothing to worry about really though if you can put up with the fan noise.

I really don't see why you should be worried, sli temps are normally high and that's normal. Your temps are none different than normal. I suggest to change the fan speed from 40% to 50% or even 55% if you want better temps. Don't worry just 5-10% in increase in fan speeds won't reduce their lifetime. Or atleast just increase the fan speed of top gpu.

Thanks for the responses, but I forgot to mention that the fan speeds are controlled by EVGA Precision and the ranges are as follows....

temp | speed

0-40 60

50 80

60-70 90

70+ 90-100 (gradually increases depending on temp)

Does this change anything? I dont think it would, but like I said better safe than sorry

Yes, that's fine, you really don't need to change anything then. You are fine with those temps.
