I just upgraded to an SSD but i want to use my old hard drive for unimportant data. My old HD has windows 7 on it and my new HD has windows 8.1. What is the best way without downloading programs to help me with the task?
since ntfs is a standard format for partitions used in windows and it has a greater performance than fat, but don't worry, ntfs is set as default when formatting a hard drive.
right click on your old hd and select format, the disk format must be ntfs so you can use it for internal storage and rename the volume name you desired
