I left my PC on overnight to download elder scrolls online beta and while it was on i also left HW Monitor running. The CPU usage shouldve never gone very high as it wasnt really doing anytthing, and i don't understand how it could ever get that high as i've never seen it go over temps in the low-mid 50s while on load. The reading for the CPU is currently 30 degrees value, 29 degrees min and 70 degrees max however the where it says temps under fx 8350 the package is value 9, min 8 and max 34 which seems too low. Im not going to leave my PC on overnight again. Could these simply be incorrect readings?

EDIT:
The CPU fan speed supports this, as value is 680 RPM, min 660 and max 2900! But i would think it would've woken me up if it was that fast

Solution

Nice temps.
That seems to be a faulty read.

Use HWiNFO64 from now on.
CPU0 is core temp & the other CPU is your socket temp.

Its best to keep the core in low 60s & the socket in low 70s.

Is your Fx overclocked?

It could be a faulty read.

If you are worried about your max load temps , I'd say download HWiNFO64(Its said to be better than HWmonitor) & IBT AVX,
10 runs @ standard, it should show your max load temps.
Stop the test if it touches 70C.
If its reaching 70C, then you might have to bring down your OC(If oc'd) or improve your cooling.

Well.... once it showed my fan was running at 65000rpm.
And some guy reported that it showed his core temp @128C.
