PC settings issue after SSD installation

Hi all,

I got a new Asus K95V and decided to add an SSD instantly (cloning W8 set up on HDD).
As I wanted to be sure to be protected while searching how to add the SSD, I also installed Bitdefender anti virus on the HDD before cloning (so that was all there was/is on the laptop).

The cloning went well and so I had the OS (+scanner) on both the SSD and the HDD.
I have not changed the drive names yet, so the boot drive (SSD) is still called E:

While I was looking around on how to change the drive name and what to do with the contents of the old HDD, my PC settings and W apps suddenly became no longer available (as already posted on this forum).

I'm not quite sure how to proceed...
I can't get into BIOS to change boot drive back to HDD and maybe redo the cloning, because the PC settings won't let me. Neither can I update windows (not sure that would help though).
I tried removing the anti virus, but it made no difference.
I was thinking about a reset (as there is not much info on the drives anyway), but what would this do exactly? Would it reinstall W8 on HDD and on SSD of clean out the SSD and only reinstall on the original HDD?

What can I do? I don't have a W8 disk, as it came pre-installed.

I have an additional question wrt C: and E: drive use:
I removed the anti virus on the original OS drive (C:), but not sure how to remove it from the new SSD drive. The uninstall software does not seem to pick it up there and control panel doesn't show it either. Don't know whether this AV could be the cause of some trouble...
it has me kinda guessing, because it looks as though it is uninstalled when I boot from E: (+can't see it in control panel), but the folders remain visible on E: drive (and not on C:, where it was initially set up)..

thanks for helping me out!
