Looks like you would sacrifice performance if you went any cheaper. I'm building a fairly similar pc. It looks like you're getting some great value in that build, I would go for it.

2x4GB is more than enough, 16GB is waste, ASRock Z87 Extreme4 ATX LGA1150 would also save you money. You can get a GTX 780 EVGA for $480 but even with this savings it would be $1100 but you can get a SSD for fast loading times or save the money. Also you can get a CPU cooler if you want to overclock and if you dont want you dont need a K CPU and you could save more on CPU+mainboard to get the gtx 780.
 
Here's a better and cheaper build. Change to 4670k and add an aftermarket CPU cooler.

I assumed he lives near a microcenter because he selected it in his partpicker...buzzkill if he doesn't. I live a mile from microcenter...that is the CPU I am buying for my build. I'm waiting patiently on my tax return, but I have been considering going to pick this piece up before the price goes up.
