I ordered this case, the NZXT H230 for my new/first build. At the time I didn't occur to me to check the professional reviews, but anantech ripped it based on its temps.

I'm not overclocking or doing SLI but my specs are: i5-4570, GTX 760, one SSD.

My question is, if I added another fan and removed both HD cages, would this be enough to keep it cool? Would I be able to mount my SSD in one of the optical bay slots?

I want to make it work since I already ordered the case, but if the performance degrades my parts I'd rather just get a different case. Thanks for any opinions

I'm sure your temps will be just fine. Throw in an extra fan or two and, like you said, remove HDD cage and put your SSD on the back of your motherboard tray (http://www.overclock3d.net/gfx/articles/2012/07/1906105..., you can use good double sided tape like 3M 4010 or adhesive velcro) or optical drive with a drive adapter.

I actually really like that case.

Honestly, case airflow is not nearly as important as the type of cpu and gpu heat sink, meaning, if you have 100$ for cooling, but it all into a heat sink, and use the stock cafe fans how they came

Thanks for the responses, I was thinking of changing it out for a cooler master n400/600, but probably too much of a hassle. I'll just get another fan and probably an evo 212 and call it good. I imagine opening the door will also help quite a bit with airflow.

I do like that this case has taller feet since it will be on carpet, that seems to be neglected in a lot of cases.

Yeah, I'm sure you'll be fine, it's a nice case.
