with ram the ram vendors buy the ram dimms from different vendors and then solider the ram dimms onto there ram sticks and relabel the sticks as there own product. use cpu-z to read the ram spd part info to see that it matches up to the part you bought. the small ram modular that soilder on can be from 3 or four main ram vendors.

It's possible, Transcend, like most DRAM manufacturers, buy the actual memory chips from a variety of manufacturers for their various lines of sticks (DIMMs - Direct Inline Memory Modules) they manufacture
