How much OC'ing does my 290 need to match a 290x?

I'm at 1057/1250 at stock voltage on my twinfrozr r9 290. Tomorrow I'll be ramping up my oc'ing I just need to know how far I should take it to be able to match a 290x's performance (if at all possible).

It is completely possible and not at all difficult to match the 290X speeds with a 290. As for the exact clock speeds, you will have to look around for overclocking benchmarks, those should give you a better idea about how far you need to go. It really isn't a huge overclock though, if you just want to match the 290X, just be sure you can handle the heat.
