Hi All,
I am building my second gaming PC and I am encountering a rather large issue. I have my computer set and wired to my knowledge correctly, but it will not start. I am upgrading to a intel i5-3570k with a asus p8Z77-VLK motherboard and a evga gtx 770. I am reusing an old sata hard drive along with a new SSD for storage.

The motherboard seems to get power (has LED indicator lights) but I cannot for the life of me get the remainder of the computer to turn on. I have attempted a second PSU, triple checked my wiring, but cannot find the source of the issue. could it be my old SATA hard drive is not compatible, or is the lack of a dvd/Blu ray disc drive a possible source? I'm down to possibly my new case having faulty wiring, as I have also exchanged the CPU and motherboard for new ones.

Thanks!

I cant say I know the exact prob but here are few ideas to check on make sure the RAM is in tight and snug, also make sure the wires are all good and none are cut check the power wires from the on/off button until the mobo, make sure not cut. Also make sure the 24 pin and 8/12 pin are fully seated probably already did but check to be sure....It could be sata port although never heard of it being a prob...I cant think of anything else but if none of these work check out shortstuff no post/beep thread and...
