Hey guys, so some of you helped me build a pretty sweet rig that I just finished below. It is working great, then I added a 3rd hard drive not listed below its a 320gb Seagate 7200rpm that I had in an old computer. First, I had a C drive that is the ssd drive that I installed win 8 on and is recognized correctly and installed win 8 on it. Then I installed my 1tb drive after that and that was recognized correctly. The 3rd 320gb drive now shows a C drive correctly and a D drive that is 2.61GB free of 127GB? Makes no sense, should be 3 drives. That 320gb drive I think I had installed win xp on it if that matters. Is there a way I can fix that to have it recognize the 3 drives separately properly? I just have the drives randomly plugged into the sata ports, could be the problem? Thanks for the help guys!

Solution
What does it say when you go into command prompt and type "DiskPart" then "List Disk"?

All 3 drives should show up, perhaps you just need to assign it a new drive letter. Make sure you know exactly which disk is which before doing this as its quite easy to make your main boot drive not boot anymore.

So, diskpart, list disk, find the disk you want then type select disk #, if you have partitions select them with Select Partition #, then Assign.

Thanks for reading my question.
in order of install
1) SSD: C drive (main drive)
2) 1TB Hard Drive 7200rpm: D drive (at this point both looked good)
3) 320GB Hard Drive 7200rpm Now Both 2-3 show as drive D in my computer. In the control panel somewhere under devices it recognizes 3 though. In my computer it shows 2.61GB free of 127GB which makes no sense.

it says
disk 0 online 447 gb free 0b
disk 1 online 931gb 931gb free
disk2 online 298gb free 170gb

So it recognizes the 3 drives, but in my computer or win 8 "my pc" it shows just a c and a combined D drive. I was reading last night that windows 8 can combine 2 drives, that's not exactly what I want to do. Thank you!
