So I've just install a new processor and motherboard and was trying to install a copy of Windows 7 via a bootable USB but my system is having it. I am using the Asus Maximus Hero and it doesn't appear in the boot priority in the UEFI either. Is there anything you guys can think of to make it work. Any help would be very much appreciated.

it sounds like your USB is not configured to boot in UEFI mode. Do you require UEFI mode? Otherwise enable booting of Legacy devices and you USB drive should show
