Hi TH Forum-dwellers

I've set myself a budget of £600 for the gaming pc which I will build within the next 2-4 weeks

I would like some advice/opinions on my choice of components for this build, such as whether you think my build is balanced, or if you've had particular experiences with certain components on my list, aswell as suggestions on other components I could use instead.

I have spent much time researching and assessing the value/compatibility of the different components that I am about to list, this is also my first post, so I hope you will appreciate that.

Processor: AMD FX-6300

Motherboard: Asus M5A97 EVO R2.0

Graphics card: MSI GeForce GTX 760 HAWK edition

RAM: Patriot Viper 3 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600

HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM

Case: Fractal Design Arc Midi R2

CPU cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO

Power Supply: Corsair CX 500W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular

Disc drive: Lite-On iHAS124-04 DVD/CD Writer

Total: £613

On top of this, I am buying:

Monitor: AOC e2343F 23.0" Monitor

and this mouse & keyboard

For a total budget of just under £730

I can help you save £90 by buying a gtx 660 ti instead of your gtx 760, similar performance and can handle ultra easy at 1080p. Great choice of mobo and cpu I have the exact same no problems whatsoever. I wouldn't spend £100 on the arc midi r2 I would get something for £60-70. Everything else is fine.
