Game screen goes black, but desktop is fine

So as the tile says, my screen goes black in the game. In details, I'm playing dota2 and elders scrolls online, than suddenly both games goes black. Desktop is fine, so I can just alt tab, close, and reopen. Anyway I'm curious about what happened, anybody know this ?

No, it just goes black. And the cursor is visible, weird right.

It sounds like your graphics card. What's in your laptop?

He does not have a laptop. He is saying he can tab out to the desktop.

What is your full parts list? I would suggest flashing to the most recent BIOS version and updating the GPU drivers.

I forgot to mention, it's a pc with i5-4670k and a gtx 760. Hmm maybe you're right, motherboard gigabyte z87 ud4h, psu corsair hx750, ram corsair vengeance 2x4gb. It should be running well with this parts right ?

Like I said, go the the motherboard website and flash to the most recent version and update the GPU drivers from Nvidia.
