Last night, I shutdown my computer (usually let it go to sleep) and this morning when I booted up, I get a display port link failure error and only ONE of my three monitors is working. So I messed with it all day and the only thing I can figure is that a there is a problem with the card.

The card is Asus 7970 and it has 4 Dp and my monitors all have Dp. So I run 3 Dp cables. No adapters needed. It has ran fine since October, although lately I have had a few random black screen, (can hear audio still though) and all will come back on. The card also seems to be a little noisier as well (fan noise I think )

I have got all monitors to function again but only using one Dp and 2 DVI. Of course I now can't run monitors at 120hz and I can really tell the difference. I tried on DVI and 2 Dp and only one of the Dp connected monitors would work.

Is there anything I am missing or that I can try?

Thanks everyone

So, I am not sure what happened, but I was messing around again and could only get ONE monitor to work with Dp. I would then plug the same cable into one of the other two monitors and NOTHING. It was as if two monitors (same two always) had bad display ports. How odd for that to happen. So on a hail marry, I uninstalled drivers, rebooted the pc and still one monitor. Then I said screw it, shut it down, unplugged everything from surge protector, waited a few minutes, booted up and the two I was having Dp issues with were now working and the third was blank. Installed new drivers, rebooted and ALL THREE ARE WORKING AGAIN!

WHAT THE HELL??? I don't understand what happened or WHY simply unplugging everything seems to have hard reset them??
