Games such as Bioshock Infinite, Borderlands 2, Batman Arkham Origins and Farcry 3 freeze after 15-20 mins of gameplay (except Bioshock Infinite, it freezes 5 seconds in at the 2K logo). I took my GPU out to see if it was that but after opening Bioshock Infinite, it froze at the 2K logo again. I tried memtest and no errors came up so its not my ram. I'm not sure what to do

What are your specs in your PC? Have you done any overclocking of components recently or ever? Can you please give a more detailed error description?

CPU: Intel Core i7 3770K
Mobo: Asrock Z77 Extreme 4
RAM: PNY 8gb 1600 mHz
PSU: XFX PRO550w
GPU: MSI Twin Frozr GTX 760

I've overclocked both my CPU and GPU and they're clocking fine. Each game freezes to a black screen and closes out after 20ish minutes of gameplay except Bioshock Infinite. In Bioshock Infinite, it doesn't even get to the game's main menu before it freezes on the 2K logo. The 2K logo just stays on the screen and I have to open up task manager in order to get out of it. Other games like Garry's Mod and Minecraft I can play fine though, just not "heavy/intense" games.

Did you do this overclock recently? I had a solid high overclock on my GPU that didn't really cause any issues in games, but in Battlefield 3 after playing for a certain amount of time would throw a DirectX 9 error and my screen would begin to artifact. Turning down the OC completely fixed this issue, and it's interesting because it only happened really in one game. I suggest you first reinstall your video drivers, and if that doesn't help try putting your GPU back to stock clocks, then your CPU.

I overclocked the GPU recently, the CPU was overclocked a fair bit ago (half a year ago) but I turned them both down to stock already to see if an unstable overclock was the issue but the results were the same. I'll reinstall my video drivers and get back to see if anything changes

Okay, let me know how it goes, I hope it works and am interested to hear the results!

Same thing, Bioshock Infinite freezes at the 2K logo not even 5 seconds in. I haven't tried Farcry 3 or Batman yet, but I'm thinking that it'll be the same because of what happened with Bioshock Infinite.

Wow that's really a bummer. Has this always happened or is it a new development?

Have you had issues with these specific games since you got your PC or did it just start recently?

I purchased them after I bought my GPU, but I have tried to run these games after taking out the GPU and the results were the same, so I don't think its the graphics card itself

I had this problem too and fixed it - by setting my CPU back to stock frequencies. I read on a steam thread that Bioshock Infinite in particular does not support overclocked CPU's. Once I set mine back to stock settings it worked fine.
