AMD radeon 6870 fan?

hello my AMD radeon 6870 2GB 1 fan started making an odd sound like the fan was having a hard time starting up. after a little it would go away and hasnt done it for awhile but i want to either get a new fan or heatsink, any ideas?

i have never taken it apart but i use canned air and a clean paintbrush to get everything as clean as i can

could be the fan bearing just going bad...that I don't know how to fix but I imagine its time for a GPU upgrade

this is why I always recommend the 2 or more fan solution. one fan working twice as hard to keep a card cool that is pretty beefy, makes sense that its showing its physical age. Can you describe the sound it makes? only when starting to spin, but once its going it quiets out?

when it firsts starts its almost like a really aggressive vvvvvv sound but id tap the case right next to it a few times and it would go away

if you are feeling up to the challenge, with a q tip or something you can try to get a TINY bit of Wd40 into the fan bearing, but that wont be easy... I would say soon the fan will stop working completely
