I have concerns whether or not I plugged up my hddled correctly onto my motherboard. The wires have no indicators to tell which is ground and which is for the led. They are solid black and have no useful markings on them. The only markings they have are labels such as "HDLED", "RESET SW", and so on labelled on one side of the rectangular plastic that connects to the mobo. I simply had them plugged in facing upwards, since the idea of them being right side up made the most sense. No guarantee that is how they should go though. Is there something I can do that will test to see if it is hooked up correctly? Something that, assuming it is indeed hooked up right, will cause the light to turn on. Side note, but I heard the red wire on the pc speaker goes to the 5v side of the mobo connection. I did that, but still didn't hear any beeps. Luckily, my first time rig booted up okay. Just minor gripes here and there.

More specific question for anyone willing... If anyone has any prior experience with the Rosewill Blackhawk case, would you be able to tell me which wires for the hddled and reset button are the grnd wires (in relation to the labels on the rectangular plastic)

the switches don't matter, they just make contact between two pins so it doesn't matter.

the hdled plug it in one way, turn on the pc and let it boot. does the hd flash as it's loading? it's working right. does it not flash or stay on? then it's wired wrong and swap it. no harm will come of it.

I know it doesn't matter and that it's mainly just for show, but I just wanted to know. Appreciate the answer though. That's all I need.
