Dear Friends,

Any one help me to solve this issue with WIFI signal

My laptop is not able to detect Wireless signal from my WIFI modem but my friends able to connect with the same modem. I am getting neighbor connections on my laptop except the modem signal in my friends room. WIFI button is turned-on in my laptop, I kept my laptop very close to that modem, I tried restarting laptop and modem too but no use. Finally i end up with frustration. Why this is happening on my laptop. My friends are able to browse internet from the same modem but my laptop is not even detecting the wireless signal. Previously i used similar wireless broadband at my home and it worked really great and my laptop immediately detected that modem as and when i switch on the modem. But in my friends room my laptop is not even detecting the signal from modem.

Please any help me out there to get rid off this issue.

(1) IF UR LAPTOP DONT DETECT WIFI SIGNALS

Hi if your lappy is not able to detect any wifi signal initially this could be because of misconfigured driver..to solve this issue reinstall he driver and in case u dont hav the correct driver simply go to control pannel > device management > There go to network adapter and click on ur wireless device in the pop up go to drivers n click on update driver, driver can automatically be updated online ..this mostly should solve your problem ...

(2) IF YOUR LAPTOP DETECTS WIFI SIGNAL BUT STILL DONT CONECTS TO IT

This problem could some time occur due to misconfiguration of settings,, to be doing it simple -- go to control pannel>Network and sharing centre.. there u will see a option saying {manage ur wireless network} this will probably hav a list of all the the network u connected before.
Find ur network and delete it from that list and then try again if still problem persist u can get into the modem setting and re configure your wireless Network..

SOLUTION: JUST RIGHT CLICK ON MY COMPUTER, GO TO PROPERTIES, CLIC ON COMPUTER NAME TAB, GIVE ANY NAME TO YOUR COMPUTER, APPLY.....
NOW YOUR PROBLEM IS SOLVE. :)

solution:

if ur phone detects ur wifi and laptop is not detecting ur wifi means switch off ur wifi router for an hour and switch it on ..it will detect...
