I purchased a Sapphire Radeon R9 270x 4 gb before I upgraded to a MSI G45 motherboard, which they claim better performance if paired with a MSI graphics card. Is this true, and can I crossfire a MSI Radeon R9 270x with a Sapphire Radeon 270x? If I can, is the proclaimed "performance boost" worth $60 more for the MSI version, or should I buy another Sapphire for $60 less?
Thanks

Solution
yes, as long as the gpu itself is the same or in the same family your fine. the gpu will scale down to whatever is the lower clocked card so no don't waste money on the more expensive card unless it's more than just a higher boost. asus, and msi cards are amazing, sapphire cards are good but i've had a few rma's on them.

If its the same model of card, you can crossfire them, the brand doesnt matter.

MSI are going to endorse MSI graphics cards, I think that "performance boost" was thought up by marketing rather the engineering and design teams who made the mobo/graphics card.
