Low-res cinematic cut-scenes in games?

Hi,

I've been experiencing this problem from my old PC as well, I had a GT 640, and was connected to my monitor via VGA port. The cut-scenes in games such as Batman Arkham Asylum, Or Arkaham city, or even BL2's opening cinematic intro, they are all low res, the games themselves look fine during gameplay, but the cinematic cut-scenes look very low-res and pix-elated. Now, fast forward, I got a gaming PC with a GTX 780Ti, and connected to my monitor via HDMI port, yet I'm still experiencing the same problem, what could this be? The monitor? I'm not sure anymore, I need help, if anyone could tell me a fix, or explain what this is, that would be great, thank you. Also, my monitor is a ST2420L, 1080p 60Hz.

Thank you for reading, I hope you have a nice day, good bye.

Depending the game some will have a low quality cut-scenes, but of course that's not the case in all games, see if under video/graphics options of each game there's some option specific to cut-scenes / cinematics and raise it to ultra (for example Starcraft II has that option affecting severely the quality of it's cinematics).
