Just looking for some advice really, I have a couple ideas and was mainly looking to see what others thought as I'm still pretty new to it all.

Budget Range: About 150 plus whatever the possible trade in of the part being replaced.

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, surfing the internet, watching movies. Most played game is currently DayZ, both the standalone and mod.

Location: Jamestown, NY. 14701

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe

Ok with those stated my specs:

Mobo: MSI 760GM-E51FX
CPU: AMD FX 4300 Quad-Core 3.8GHz
GPU: MSI NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 TI
Ram: 2x2GB Crucial DDR3 1333 Ram
Main Drive: Samsung 840 Pro 128GB SSD
Storage Drive: Western Digital Blue 500GB
OS: Win 7 64-bit

I have two main concerns with my current set-up:

The fact that I can't use my SSD at the highest speeds due to lack of 6GB/s really kinda irks me.

While I can generally use mid-high settings in DayZ, I do experience FPS drops sometimes in more taxing parts (which generally is when I need them the most).

I've been told before that with the big shift towards APU's dumping all the money into just a motherboard doesn't seem very wise. Especially with my current CPU not exactly being a powerhouse.

Could a slightly better motherboard be worth it? Should I just bank the money and wait?

Also I'm upping the ram regardless so just ignore the 4gb ha.

I'd wait until you have enough for a cpu and mobo upgrade as the do go together usually. People will upgrade their cpu since you can make a large jump in performance on the same socket, but going with the mobo first is pointless as you won't see a difference until you drop in a new cpu.

Hmm, must me my ssd is having trouble else where, I just assumed that when the Samsung magician pointed it out that it was the problem.. Thank you though.

woltej- seems as though you wouldn't really suggest it though. It's not like the money is burning a hole in my pocket, would I be better off waiting?

Any recommendations to look for? I look for the best price to performance range and a little on the performance side, and no real preferences when it comes to brands. I'll put off the ram too if I go this route.

I do like my current AMD, but i'm not partial to them. They do often seem to be the best price-value ratio. What would you recommend for intel cpus? Thanks for all the help too btw
