If You wanted to upgrade then you'd be looking at an Intel Core i7 3770K. Chances are you'd need to flash the BIOS though, but that's not too hard.

I'm still using a i5-2500K. It isn't really worth upgrading. If you haven't already, overclock it
- should get an easy 4.0-4.2Ghz with stock air cooling.
