Hi, I'm buying Samsung PS51F5000 , and I've decided to buy Sennheiser HD205 headset as well for better sound. The only problem is, that this TV doesn't have the headphone input, so is there any way to connect these two once I buy them as I wouldn't want to waste the money for the headset if it's impossible to do it, but I really want to watch the movies with headset, not with the TV's speakers.

Thanks for the answer, I've looked for a TV with it in this store that I unfortunately have to buy it in, and every decent TV doesn't have a headphone out. Thanks for that thread also, but I just had an idea, what if I hook my computer through a HDMI to the TV, and the headset in the computer, would that work, and if the sound would come out of the headset, would I be able to disable or mute the TV speakers while watching movies?

Well it could be done. You can mute tv's speakers, nad receive sound from PC, it will work.

You don't have headphone out, so no, you can't connect headphones.
It could be done by using Digital Audio Out (Optical), connecting to some kind set-top-box and there connect your headphones. But this solution would be expensive.

I have tested with my laptop. Connected my lap with tv through HDMI, play a movie, then connected headphones and had to switch my default sound device to analog (to headphones). Now I got sound on my headphones and lost sound on tv, so I didn't had to mute tv.

Simply buy a digital to analog converter that will convert optical/coax digital to analog. Connect the opt. wire to the TV optical out (of it has one), then to the converter, plug in headphones, done. Can be bought at RadioShack for $60 w/opt. Cord or cheaper on Amazon.

NOTE: if trying this buy connecting opt cable to a game system, purchase a better one from Amazon that supports dolby digital/DTS.
