I got a brand new computer and everything seemed to run fine. However i noticed that when something like photoshop is running in the background it demolishes my in-game frames per second (down to 20 fps in a game like LoL, not a very intensive game). I have an old gaming laptop where this is not a problem at ALL. Could this indicate a problem with my CPU? Or could it be a ram/gpu problem. If so how should i go about diagnosing this? Thanks!

This does not have anything to do with the cpu as far as I'm concerned. I think it might be your ram, or maybe that is how Photoshop runs.

Run Photoshop and find it on task manager on the "Details" tab, then right click on it and look for "Set Priority", and click "Low". I am not sure if this fixes it but if it does let me know.

I have heard that people have problems when they unpark their cores. Some people get BSOD and some people just get offen crashes. I wanted to unpark my cpu cores myself but decided to go save.
