Im having extreme problems with my new build.

Specs are

GA-H81M-DS2
INTEL I5 4670K
270X R9 VAPOR
130 GB SSD
2 X 4GB CRUSIAL
500 watt 80 bronze psu

Hi i dont know where to start but i will give it a go

I build a new rig 3 Days ago first it was going fine but it seem to have progressed for the worse.

My computer freezes or reboots constatly, it seems to be progressing the more i have it turned on. My first fear was the graphic card i removed it and did a stress test to to try to trigger the same hangup, and i did so it rules out the gfx ? the freezing starts as soon i try to play a game (just starting it and it freezes instantly) or Watch a video on Youtube for a extended period of time.

I stripped it down to just 1 memory stick cpu to see if it will freeze up again it did so in the bios so that rules out any driver related issues ?

one thing i noticed yesterday the idle temp on the cpu are fine (25-30c) but as soon as i start something they can skyrocket to 70-85 c.

Cant do a stress test for a extended period since it reboots after maybe one min.

The computer can freeze even when i just start up a game or sometimes when i start up the computer itself..

I noticed if a leave it off for maybe one hour i can start it and have it running maybe 3-4 hours as long as i dont start any programs or try to run any games.

I also checked if the cooler is seated proparly and it seems that it is. i refitted it just to be sure.

I need your help to solve this

Hi i did not overclock it or anything of that sort im running it full stock i reseated the cpu and the hs and the same problem occurs. i checked the thermal paste and it seems to be a even smooth surface on the heatsink and cpu.

Memtest is a better program to test your memory. It is confusing since your computer is not being consistent with it's errors. Your temperature seems OK under Prime95, what program are you using to monitor your temperatures? What memory are you using?

Sorry for the delay in reply, Turns out it was the first memory stick that was faulty. i ran memtest for 6 hours with just one stick (the good one) , i have been running the computer for a day now without any error, going to RMA the faulty one today. The model was Crucial Ballstix sport 2x4 gb. But im sure it was me who fd it up somehow not going to blame crucial they make quality stuff.
