Hello!

I'm wonder is my Thunder 500W enough for PC like this:

CPU: AMD FX-6300 (I want to push it to at leat 4.5Ghz)
MOBO: Asus M5A97 EVO r2.0
GPU: ASUS 7870 DirectCUII 2GB
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (1x8GB)
CASE: Fractal Design Define R4 with it's stock coolers
COOOLING: Additional 4xSP120 Quiet and H80i

So, BOOM or not? Thanks a lot.

Solution

Might be a lot of things.
Might be the board that just won't go further or the cpu without excessive voltages.
Did you keep for instance an eye on the ram speeds and lower them if necessary?

I would look at the next,
http://www.skytech.lt/s12ii520-psu-seasonic-s12ii520-520w-plus-bronze-retail-p-71698.html (i still think that 520watt should be enough, just not the one you already have)...

The problem is that my budget is extremely tight. In my country (Lithuania) prices are a little bit high and I can't find any Antec, Seasonic or XFX retailer.

On the cooler master site it says;"PCI-e 6+2 Pin x 2".
http://www.coolermaster.com/powersupply/thunder/thunder-500w/
Edit,
that's to be found under specs, the picture with the connectors indeed says 1xpcie connector.:??:
Maybe Gytiss can shed some light on this?

@ Gytiss,

if you already have it,it would do_Otherwise would a different one be better.

http://www.skytech.lt/cp9020063eu-psu-corsair-600w-plus-bronze-led-spalvos-melyna-raudona-balta-p-139776.html (some extra watts if you don't feel secure with 520,probably needs to be ordered specially?)
http://www.skytech.lt/m12ii620-psu-seasonic-m12ii620-620w-plus-bronze-retail-p-71701.html (a bit more expensive)

Double check with the next program,
hwinfo32
open it,check=v sensors and click run.
The value is within atx specs,so it doesn't mean it's that bad,but it's low for sure.
Is it at loads or idle that value? When at load and for instance and at idle 12.3V that would not be good.
The program gives both max. and min. values.

I ordered Seasonic M12II. I read a lot reviews and I feel much more confident about my PSU than before. Now I will be able to push my rig to it's limits. Thanks guys for extremely fast response. :)
