Gigabyte G1 Sniper Z87?

Hello guys, has someone used the above mentioned motherboard?. Is it good?, i'm looking to get it, kindly inform me if it's worth buying this as an upgrade from H61M-USB3-B3 Rev 2.0

You'd need to buy a new CPU too, as they use different sockets.

Can you post your full build (including PSU), please?

Yup they have 1150 socket. I will need a new processor, i'm thinking of i5 4670.

My PCs current specs:

CPU: Core i5 - 2400 Sandy Bridge @ 3.10 GHz CPU
GPU: MSI GTX 680 Twin Frozr III 2GB
RAM: 8 GB
Motherboard: Gigabyte H61M-USB3-B3 Rev 2.0
PSU: Gigabyte Greenmax 650W

The 4670 isn't much of an upgrade from the 2400. I'd just stick with the 2400, and possibly get a new 1155 mobo if you need it.

Why are you upgrading?

I want to make my PC a bit future proof as i last updated my PC in 2011, what processor would you recommend?.

If you are going to upgrade, then get a 4670K, and an overclockable board like the GA-Z87X-D3H, Z87 Extreme4, or Z87-A. There's not much point getting a more expensive board.

Consider getting an SSD, too.
