2 ram combination, pc doesn't boots.

I have a mobo asus p5kpl-am. This pc used to run smoothly with 1x1gb DDR2 ram. But I purchased another 1GB DDR2 ram. When I use both the ram in combine the mobo does't opens even it doesn't shows the bios menu. My pc runs fine with any one ram in any one slot.

The two different makes could also be conflicting as mentioned before.
The solution would be to buy another stick of RAM made by the same manufacture so that they are compatible with eachother. a 1gb stick of RAM is not too costly, however you may want to look to increase the memory overall... you can never have too much RAM ;) (you can ;) )
