Hi,
I am planning to sell my 1 year old laptop and build my own desktop, a gaming rig.
My budget is Rs 30000 (with 2 or 3k addition, if necessary).
This is what I thought:
1) Processor:
* AMD A10 7850k OR
* AMD A10 7700K OR
* AMD A8 7600K

2) Motherboard:
* FM2+ Socket compatible (max. budget Rs5000)

3) PSU
* I already have one (Zebronics platinum series 250W)
I think this would be sufficient, as max. TDP would be 100W. And I don't intend to buy a seperate GPU.

4) Display
* I would like to have an LED (20 or 22 inch)

5) HDD:
* I intend to use my 750 GB external disk as an internal HDD. OR buy a 250 GB HDD, and use external HDD as an extension.

Is this a good configuration?
I am expecting "minimum" resolution of 720p i.e. 1280*720, I would really enjoy res of 1366*768
If this is not a better option than please suggest better option.
Thank you.

When you say "gaming rig" exactly what do you expect it to play using only the integrated video? You are much better off with an FX 6300 or 4300 and a lower end gaming card like a 7770. You'll need a better power supply also, but a system with the video even from the A10 is not really a "gaming" system unless you are OK with low settings in many games.

My Expectations: I should be able to play most modern day games at medium settings. Or you can say graphics equivalent to PS4 or Xbox One game console.

Well,

CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor ($114.47 @ OutletPC)
Motherboard: Asus M5A97 R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($79.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($40.50 @ Newegg)
Video Card: Asus Radeon HD 7790 2GB Video Card ($144.98 @ SuperBiiz)
Case: Corsair 300R ATX Mid Tower Case ($59.99 @ Microcenter)
Power Supply: Corsair CSM 450W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($52.00 @ Newegg)
Total: $491.93

A PS4 costs 500$ so thats the better from the PS4 or Xbox One. If you want a little bit better performance you will need to go to 520$ so :

CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor ($114.47 @ OutletPC)
Motherboard: Asus M5A97 R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($79.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($40.50 @ Newegg)
Video Card: XFX Radeon HD 7870 2GB Video Card ($169.99 @ NCIX US)
Case: Corsair 300R ATX Mid Tower Case ($59.99 @ Microcenter)
Power Supply: Corsair CSM 450W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($52.00 @ Newegg)
Total: $516.94

Hopefully you got a solution. If you dont like the build than go with the PS4 instead of Xbox One.

Thanks. That's a good configuration. You solved my problem. I will surely try to increase my budget a little bit, so as to get this:

That won't happen with just an A10. You may be able to get away with an A10 crossfired with a 6670, but even that is on the lower scale of gaming performance. You should go with the suggested builds with a real video card.
