Hi, I'm Jewel with Kingston Technical Support and would like to offer our assistance. The specifications of your motherboard also state "Support for Extreme Memory Profile (XMP) memory modules" in the Memory section found here http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4518#sp . As long as you select the XMP profile for the HyperX Genesis memory to OverClock it to the 1600Mhz at 1.65V it should not have a problem running at that speed. Considering your mobo and CPU support 1600 natively you may be able to adjust it to run 1600 on the standard 1.5V. For any further assistance, please call us at 1-800-435-0640 (USA and Canada only) M - F 6am - 6pm PT and I or another available Technician will assist you. Please be sure to have...

Not sure where you saw that you're mobo can only handle ram up to 1.5v but yes 1.65v will work but don't go higher than that with Intel chips.

found what you were saying on the gigabyte site... I'd still go with my original answer just make sure the settings are correct in bios

They will work, but it would be preferable to have 1.5 1600 sticks, 1600/9 is entry level and there is absolutely no need for basic entry level 1600/9 sticks to require 1.65, over 85% of all 1600 sticks availabel go with the 1.5 as specced by JEDEC and Intel calls for 1.5 with 1600 sticks......have no idea why Kingston and Corsair keep putting out these 1.65 1600 sticks, it ridiculous

Hey guess what. I've tried it. When i put that ram in, it runs at 1.5v at 1600. When i go to bios and changed it to XMP, i can change the voltange to 1.65v and my system go perfect. But now i've just sell my hyperx genesis to my cousin and i just buy new Kingston Hperx Beast quad kit 32gb and it runs at 2400 at 1.65v.
As long your mobo have XMP, i think it should be just fine to run 1.65v ram. Am I right? :)
