Specs: Intel Pentium D 820, 2 GB RAM, Foxconn G41MD Motherboard, video card and video card is a chipset (G41).

What's going on is:

Videos I play on the PC stutter severely when there are heavy action, Youtube videos stutter, browsing has been slower as things take a longer time to do.

I reconnected my RAM but nothing...

I appreciate any help.

Well for now if money is an issue I would just save money towards a video card that is low end, but can do the job. Also, keep looking around for pc's. Sometimes you can find a really good deal and a lot of pc's are getting a lot cheaper nowadays. One low end card for about 45 bucks is a geforce gt 520. Its small and can pack a good punch. Hopefully I was able to help. If you have any more questions feel free to ask or pm me.

Well your pc is most likely on its last legs. The Pentium 820 is from around 2005 and does not pass todays standards at all. Also the older Intel chipsets are really unreliable. They are also very weak as well. The reason for that stuttering is most likely because the chipset cant handle the "heavy action" during most videos and is losing memory and speed to create a decent picture at a fast enough frame rate. If I were you I would save up towards a new computer. You can find some pretty good and cheap laptops and desktops these days and can last quite a while. The best answer is just age and that newer programs and advancements cant be done quickly and easily on older pc's. Hope this helps!

stmaki16, thank you for your reply. The thing is that money is problem for me at the moment and I was hoping replacing a single component would do and I would gradually add in more parts as time went on. Is it a good idea to just add in a video card for now?
