No wireless network detected

The other laptop in the room is currently on the network & internet. When attempting to access from my computer the message is 'no wireless network detected'. I have accessed from this location yesterday with no problem.

This is something I see frequently; as the previous contributor mentioned, I'd first suggest restarting both devices - a cliché I know but it often works!

If the issue persists and you're using a Windows based machine, open Device Manager and see if the adapter has an icon or a question mark - question mark hints a driver issue.

Lastly, if you're still having issues I like to try running Ubuntu from a USB drive. It'll usually load generic drivers for installed hardware and you'll soon know where the issue is...
