I am trying to get the best out of my processor by overclocking it. I get to 4.4 Ghz stable, but when it goes over 4.5 it crashes ending up with the blue screen of death. Can my certain processor go over that? As i have seen many videos on Youtube of people even reaching 5Ghz with theirs.
I had got it to 4.7Ghz at one point for about 10 minutes or so, then my computer crashed.
Thanks

is it the AMD stock cooler? if it is, that's why. It's not good for overclocking and you are probably heating up the processor a lot by overclocking. NEVER overclock without quality cooling, I would not even run the fx-4100 OC on the stock cooler.
