What does the ECS motherboard manual and BIOS release notes say?
After some digging around, I've found what I needed. I've spent the last two years with serious health issues and missed the fact that AMD had actually released a Phenom six-core... Looks like I may have missed the bus on that one unless I want to chance eBay... (Although I do have to say that I've been very fortunate to never have done business with anyone wanting to sell me crap. [Knocking On Wood])
Lest you think I'm the average band-width waster, I've been modding and building since my 48K Atari 400 with full-stroke keyboard, IBM compatible printer & two sizes floppy (not counting my cassette drive). I've been around for a while. Did you know that the very first 16K Atari could put 256 colors on screen when IBM was still a choice of black and one other color?
I'm going to assume that your reply was intended with the best of intentions. For 40 years I've done a pretty good job of gleaning what I can from the documentation and then filling in the rest through trial and error. It would help if vendors emulated (even a little bit) the geeky little "gaming machines" that paved their path for them. I did my night course programming assignments in Basic & PASCAL on my ATARI 8-bit (plus had an Oasis BBS over the weekends).
The smartest person in the world will ask the occasional silly question, knowledge is a one way street...
A few years ago I was at a wedding reception and trying to explain to someone why they'd been getting a particular error message. A guy I didn't know stepped over and said, "That's called a page file." To which I responded, "Other than letting someone else know you understood a word they didn't, what did you just accomplish?"
