well that escalated quickly that's a really nice PSU did you make sure your cables are all plugged in correctly?
it could be your cpu overheating check your temps using coretemp. get back to me with cpu temps when the system isnt in full load if you can.

Make sure your CPU fan or water cooling block is firmly secured on your chip. Is this the first time you a built a machine? What are the Temps of everything when it shuts off. Some motherboards have fail safes in them where they will kill the power if the CPU overheats. Are you currently updated on a stable driver for you video card? Check also your ram voltage to see if the motherboard in the bios is giving the ram a lower voltage on auto then it should be. I have had to set mine manually to stock voltage in the past. Please give us some more details enabling us reader to try and diagnose your problem better.

Ok well then i have no clue as to what is going on make sure your bios is up to date thats the only other thing i can think of that would cause a crash same with your gpu drivers reinstall all and see if that helps.

if your pc crashed when doing the gpu stress test your gpu could be faulty or overheating badly check the temps and click on windows start and type dxdiag and run it and see if you get any problems if so report them here.

im all out of ideas mate i would return the gpu if possible or ask for a replacement if you still have warranty. if you have an old gpu lying around test that one and see if your pc crashes thats the only way to determine that its not the gpu causing your pc to crash when on stress.

Well thanks for the help anyway. I have another question what are the average temps for a cpu and a gpu in load to see if there getting to hot?

for the amd fx 8350 no higher than 70c the max temp it can handle is 83c if any higher than 70c the cpu will lower its frequency/clockspeeds to keep cool and for the gpu im sure its fine as long as it doesn't go above 85-90c.

Well gpu got to 81c during the test and cpu was around 60

yes use the old gtx 220 and see if the problem goes away if it does then its your 760 causing the crashes.
