so i have had this problem for a while now that either after logging in my computer will freeze the mouse and keyboard will disconnect and then it will restart, the other thing that happens if this doesn't is that it will keep loading up the desktop then when you think its fine after say 2 mins the same will happen i have replaced all most everything in my pc since i needed to upgrade anyway but nothing seems to have fixed it and not only that sometimes after the crash the ethernet port will go into sleep mode and i will have to reset the motherboard by removing the ram for a little while seeing as i changed most of my hardware i was hoping that would fix it i also checked that my ram had the correct timings and everything, i even backdated my bios to the original version and that made no difference either so im guessing it must be software related..any ideas ? if you want specs just look on my profile and so you know i cloned a dying hard drive onto this new one so that i could keep all my settings and stuff not sure if that could have been the issue or what

What are your temps? use coretemp to check that nothing overheating. I cant seem to find your specs on your profile so could you please post them on here? If your PSU is inadequate it could be failing. Go in the bios and reset everything to default incase something is changed. Run Malware Bytes to check for malware and also try booting in safe mode to see if it could be a third party piece of software.

okay i took out the ram and the problem was still there i checked that the timings changed to suit the single ram stick and they did,i also tried it in safe mode with the single ram stick and had the same result and just to be safe i moved some overlapping cables to make sure that wasn't affecting anything and still no change. Also in case your thinking im using a different pc im not im using the one with this problem, a while back when i first got this problem i found a work around which is to leave it on the login screen without logging in for a few minutes then log in and it works as it should do but if i ever need to restart to do things i dont want to wait at the login really :L

Then I would recommend a clean install of your OS. IF hardware has been ruled out for the most part, a clean install of the OS will give you a place to start working out software issues. You can then install your software and drivers one by one and figure out which one is giving you issues.
