video card issue

hi. i recently bought a video card(ati radeon x1550 256 mb) and when i plug in the card the monitor doesn't start and it makes continuous beeps.what should i do? pls help! it is because of the power supply? i have a 225W one.

first boot your computer with onboard, get into the bios and change primary graphics from onboard to pci-e

tnx for the reply. i entered the BIOS and i can't change primary graphics. my BIOS is in french. the two available options are PCI or IGD.

Remove the card and reseat it properly. It should detect. I think the GPU is not fitted properly.
