I just purchased a fully modular atx power supply for my first build. I have a (probably stupid) question about powering the videocard (It's EVGA GTX 780 Superclocked 3GB).
If I'm not running SLI, do I need to run a power cable to the videocard or do I let it get power from the motherboard?
I've never had a videocard that had a power input on it before so I'm not sure what the requirements are.
EDIT: Thanks guys! This has been very helpful, now I won't go doing something extremely stupid when I get all my parts in
SR-71 Blackbird (thanks again!) also helped me pick out the power supply (Cooler Master V850 850W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply) I'm going to be using and it looks like it will go up to 70A.
