whick is better, to upgrade a hp pavilion special edition a6745f pc or just buying a new pc?

I'm at a loss. I don't know whether I should upgrade my sisters HP Pavilion special edition a6745f pc or if I should just buy her a new computer. Money is not the problem but I am cheap so less I could spend the better. Specs on the pavillion are listed below.

AMD Athlon x2 5050e
wireless LAN 802.11 b/g
320 gig hard drive
ATI radeon HD 3200 graphics
don't know off hand how much RAM it has(sisters asleep, works graveyard) but it's a 64 bit system.
My goal is to make it a decent gaming computer so she doesn't have to upgrade it for a couple of years. If it would be over a thousand dollars to upgrade for PC I can just go out and buy her a new PC with everything in it for about the same price. Please help me be as cheap as possible I really need it lol.

Building one would be the best thing to do, what games does she play?

If you just want to improve your sister's "gaming performance" -- go out and buy her a $50 Radeon HD6570.
