The answer is no. What is your airflow through the case? Anything close to the blocks adding heat?

Well does not seem normal. Do you have a temperature reading? Also what type of CPU cooling do you have?

If you system is actively running something and utilizing your overclocked CPU, then i wouldn't worry unless the block is burning your finger. CPU's, especially overclocked ones get hot and all that heat is being passed to that block you're touching, so it's going to be hot either way.

What are your CPU temps?, as long as they are in check then i wouldn't worry.

Cpu temps are in the clear (watercooled). And the passive motherboard blocks are very hot (hot enough to hurt, but not so much that i cant keep my finger on them) and this happens when idle

i have 4 120mm fans going trough a rad on the top with 3 intakes so the air is fastly refreshed and the case is a 900d so there is a lot of air in the case also. The only thing that adds heat is the top of my watercooled gpu (there is a backplate on it) but this doesn't get that hot when idle so i doubt its that. The motherboard blocks do get very hot when just idle.
