Sounds like you are running 3 sticks of 4GB - Yes/No.......if so try resetting CMOS the install sticks only in slot 1-3 (if no joy try them in 2-4), if you can get into BIOS BIOS, enable XMP select profile 1 and try booting.....if that works add the 3rd sticks in closest open slot to the CPU and try going to BIOS, make sure freq and timings correct and raise DRAM voltage + 0.05........if no joy let us know the model # or #s off the sticks

Thankyou, I've enabled it but when I looked in the BIOS it says that my ram is running at 1333mhz when its meant to be 1600mhz... shall I simply turn it up and raise the DRAM voltage by a further 0.05?

Heres the ram I have http://www.ebuyer.com/248846-corsair-8gb-ddr3-1600mhz-vengeance-memory-cmz8gx3m2a1600c9

There is probably a different XMP profile that will have 1600MHz listed. Try looking around in there and selecting the right memory profile.

I have tried slots 1-3 and 2-4 and they don't work, it only works in slots 1-2. I went into the BIOS and changed the XMP to profile one and tried with the other stick of ram and it still doesn't boot.

Sounds like either a MC problem (in the CPU) or a mobo prob, might check the CPU and socket, look for thermal compound that may have seep into the socket or on bottom of CPU, bent pins, other debris, first though, may want to loosen the CPU cooler a bit, then snug it back up, not overly tight but snug, if the cooler is overly tight somewhere, it can cause the CPU to sit unevenly will may throw off full contact with the pins in the socket
