So I haven't played bf4 or been on my pc for the last 2 weeks and prior to the 2 weeks the game was working fine but ever since I got back onto playing bf4 I've been getting massive lag spikes every few minutes and the last from 30secs to 1.5mins I've checked my graphics card drivers and there up to date and I even use Nvidia's optimisation setting so I'm always at 60fps so if anybody could throw a few suggestions my way on whats up I'd really appreciate it :)

What graphics card are you running? The mantle update on January 30th affected some Nvidia GPU users in a negative way.

Hmm... what are the temperatures like when playing and what CPU do you have?

I've got an AMD fx-8320 and my GPU temp whilst playing is about 56 C

FX-8320 should not hold back that card and is reliable. How bad are these spikes?

I would run some GPU tests. You ever tried PassMark?

last from 30secs to 1.5mins? Wow?

A GPU should never cause a 30+ second lag. That's a major system hang. Have you run some benchmarks or stress tests? Furmark? Passmark? 3dMark? memtest?

Hit that thing hard with some benches and see if anything else makes it flinch besides BF4.

It will tell you what your score is. Run it and tell me what your 3D Graphics score is.

That is 400 below the reference model. That is quite odd. That is what my 270X gets when not overclocked. This seems a little bit strange. I cannot think of a reason why that should be. The only thing I could think of is maybe dust? Try checking for dust and maybe some loose cords.
